We kicked off our NFT journey with Lakshmi NFT, a groundbreaking project. We envisioned offering exquisite artwork featuring goddess Lakshmi as NFTs. These digital treasures granted holders special benefits within the exciting "Rannbhumi" game and a host of other exclusive perks. Our secondary research mirrored the approach taken during Zionverse. However, our main objective was to understand cryptocurrency transaction processes and identify products catering to the Indian audience. BeyondLife caught our eye, particularly for their sale of Amitabh Bachchan's NFT, strategically aimed at the Indian masses, leveraging a seamless UPI-based transaction process.

Just as we were nearing our release, a regulatory restriction was enforced by the government, prohibiting NFT transactions via UPI. This prompted us to pivot and innovate, finding an alternative solution to maintain the intended functionality. Adaptability became our guiding principle in navigating this unexpected hurdle.

Reason for this constraint-

Employing a native account system simplified the process for our developers in delivering NFTs.

Due to the project's tight timeline, it became apparent that the most feasible solution for both parties was to grant users the ability to create their accounts, ensuring efficient NFT allocation

The learning curve for users during payment -

We opted to offer users a step-by-step guide as they navigated the NFT purchase process. Additionally, we crafted a tutorial video specifically for our engaged and interested users who were part of our Discord community. This approach aimed to enhance user understanding and ease their journey into NFT ownership.

Waiting Time post competition

Throughout this journey, we were diligent in addressing as many inquiries as possible on Discord, which served as our primary support channel for users. Our marketing team, along with the dedicated Discord coordinators and leads, played a pivotal role in assisting the audience and instilling confidence that their investments were secure. Despite a wait time of 4 hours, there were instances where our tech team went above and beyond, extending the wait to 6 hours to ensure a thorough resolution.

Ensuring a seamless and user-friendly User Interface-

In my role as a UX designer, the primary objective is to ensure a seamless and intuitive process and flow. However, our challenge arose from the need to simultaneously educate the audience for a smoother experience. Despite our best efforts, a noticeable learning curve persisted, complicating the tasks at hand.

In traditional UX design principles, we're guided to keep task flows within a concise 3-step structure. Yet, in this scenario, we had to break away from those conventions. Educating and maintaining transparency with our audience took precedence over adhering strictly to step limitations.

Audience Focus

Our target audience was primarily focused on India and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) residing abroad. We dedicated efforts to educating them about the benefits of NFTs, and addressing their queries and concerns through our Discord forum. Simultaneously, our marketing team conducted AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions right on Discord. In the realm of web 3, everything revolves and evolves in sync with the audience's needs and engagement.
